Panagiota Betty Tufariello Appointed to Children's Maritime Museum Board
Mt. Sinai, New York: Panagiota Betty Tufariello, an intellectual property lawyer, was recently appointed to the Board of Directors for the Children's Maritime Museum in Port Jefferson, New York. She is also the founder of Intellectulaw, a firm that specializes in intellectual property law.
The Children's Maritime Museum, scheduled to open in the summer of 2007, will offer a problem solving approach to learning. The museum will educate children about Long Island' s maritime history and ecological preservation. The museum will incorporate interactive exhibits along with corresponding activities to engage the children and challenge them to find solutions based on the principles they have learned from the exhibits.
"I am very excited about helping to bring this unique learning environment to the children of Long Island. The museum exhibits will incorporate pro-active, hands-on tasks and will promote a truly practical approach to learning. I am pleased to join the Board of Directors, and I look forward to working with the many Long Island businesses and non-profit organizations who are taking a great interest in this community project," said Betty Tufariello.

Betty earned her Bachelor of Science in Chemistry form Long Island University and is a graduate of Hofstra Law School. She is the president of Intellectulaw, a firm specializing in patent and copyright law, and trademark and trade secret law. Her firm consults with clients regarding the use of logos, names, taglines, corporate color, corporate jingles or images that businesses use to distinguish themselves or their products or services.
